Ex-White House Aide Takes To MSNBC To Slam House Republicans as "Complete Disgrace" for Loyalty to Trump

Cassidy Hutchinson, a former White House adviser, attacked House Republicans, calling them a "total disgrace" and mentioning three lawmakers who had steadfastly supported former President Donald Trump.

Hutchinson attacked Representatives during an interview on MSNBC's Inside with Jen Psaki. Nancy Mace (R-SC), Elise Stefanik (R-NY), and Jim Jordan (R-OH) and referred to them as "enablers." She said that they were acting as Trump's "loyal foot soldiers" and that they were lying to their voters.

It is not limited to Jim Jordan. Hutchinson said, "The Republican Conference in the House as a whole is a total embarrassment to Americans and the Republican Party right now. "While it is crucial to ensure that Donald Trump never again steps foot in the Oval Office, we also need to concentrate on Congress and ensure that all those in Congress who have supported him, such as Jim Jordan, Elise Stefanik, and Nancy Mace, who have dedicated their careers to this period of American history, become devoted foot soldiers of Donald Trump."

She went on, "They do not deserve to serve in that body, and they are lying to their constituents."

Hutchinson became one of the most well-known witnesses opposing Trump during the Committee hearings on January 6. Although her candid testimony angered some of Trump's fans, it also helped her score a book contract.

A House Republican investigation that was made public earlier this month questioned a large portion of Hutchinson's testimony because it found that several of her claims were refuted by the evidence of other staff members. In particular, it discounted the “sensational story” Hutchinson repeatedly recounted while testifying under oath, which claimed that Trump attempted to take over the presidential limousine in order to go to the Capitol and join his followers.
