Madonna recently caused a stir online when she called out a concertgoer for sitting down during her show, only to later realize they were in a wheelchair, according to NBC News.

During a recent stop on her worldwide concert tour, the well-known pop star took the stage at Kia Forum in Los Angeles on Thursday. She shouted from the stage, pointing into the enthusiastic crowd, "What are you doing sitting down over there?" "Why are you seated?"

As the singer approached the edge of the stage and examined closely, they remarked, "Oh, OK." Apologies for the lack of political correctness. It is great to have you here.

Video footage of the incident, which went viral on social media over the weekend, sparked a variety of reactions from online users, with a number of them voicing their disapproval of the singer's comments.

The video received over 2.4 million views on TikTok after being initially shared there.

"What could possibly be bothering her?" one TikTok user commented, receiving 16,000 likes.

"I am glad you are here" seems to make the situation even more unbearable," remarked another individual.

Many people criticized Madonna for publicly addressing the attendee at X.

Many individuals require seating even if they do not use wheelchairs. One user expressed their disapproval, calling it gross and ableist behavior on X. It is important to acknowledge the effort someone made to buy a ticket and attend your event!

Some individuals questioned the significance of sitting during a concert and whether it was worth addressing.

Does it make a difference whether they are seated or standing? Did they purchase the ticket and make the effort to attend? A user expressed. Is not that sufficient? 🤷‍♂️”

One individual pointed out that whether someone is sitting or standing does not necessarily impact how much they enjoy a concert.
