Sen. Joe Manchin (D-WV) was called a "sick f***" by a climate demonstrator on X (previously Twitter), and the protester gloat about it before security knocked him down. “We just called Joe Manchin a sick f***. We humiliated him in front of a herd of Harvard elites. He squared up. We held firm. Barbaric murderer, hideous fiend, he torches humanity and laughs.”

[Warning: Profanity]

The amateurishly shot video shows a young man approaching Joe Manchin, who is sitting at a table with a Harvard Kennedy School flag behind him, and shouting, "Joe Manchin! " You have sold our futures to obtain money. You f***ed up extremely bad! When security intervened and said, "I got it," before pushing the guy to the ground, Manchin stood up to engage the heckler.

"You all want to sit down somewhere so we can talk?" Manchin then asked a group of demonstrators that looked to be joining him. I am not going to sit down, one of the guys retorted. Over all senators combined, you have gotten the most financing from fossil fuels.

You have earned millions, a lady said. Thanks to your position, you have earned millions. It is a Maserati you drive. "West Virginia, which is among your constituents, is directly traversed by the Mountain Valley Pipeline," said another guy. Do you believe people are in favor of this pipeline? inquired another. The populace opposes it.

The pipeline they ought to support because it has— Manchin retorted.

"Support our futures, not your profits!" was shouted by the assembly at that point. After the demonstrators joined arms and moved out down a corridor, Manchin was heard stating, "We will get back on track here, guys."

Manchin said recently that, contrary to what many had assumed, he will not be seeking president in 2024 on a third-party ticket. This year, he is not running for Senate reelection.
