During the days before the violence, 34-year-old Danielle Cherakiyah Johnson, who goes by the name "Ayoka," wrote on X as a horoscope advocate and music artist. Lt. Guy Golan said the violence started hours before the eclipse reached its peak in Southern California. Cops have looked at Johnson's posts, but they do not think the eclipse played a role in the killings "because we just do not know why she did what she did," Golan told the AP on Wednesday.
"We have taken all the facts we can, but without being able to interview her and without having something more tangible than a post on X, I do not know how much weight you can give to somebody (saying) there is an apocalypse and attribute it to one of the most horrific murders we have had in LA," Golan, who heads the homicide unit that looks into it, said.
