In the most recent article, a cover story for The Hollywood Reporter, the huge action star—who this month will also be in Guy Ritchie's Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare with Henry Cavill—talks about his faith and how important it is to him. He also says he does not like how some Christians have become "vitriolic." Besides that, he was worried about how people have come together to support a certain person: former President Donald Trump.
"The Christian church seems to treat Trump like he is their model child, even though he is a rapist and con artist," he says. "You confuse me."
Ritchson also talked about an Instagram post from 2020 that went popular in the same cover story. In it, he wears a t-shirt that says "Arrest the cops who killed Breonna Taylor." Taylor was black and 26 years old. In March 2020, police in Louisville, Kentucky shot and killed her in her apartment during a failed drug raid.
Because the show was popular with conservatives, the picture of the Reacher star went viral. But when THR asked him about the message on his T-shirt almost four years later, he did not change it.
