Former TikTok Star "Jinnkid" Found Guilty of Double Homicide: Faces Life in Prison

A former TikTok celebrity from San Diego has been found guilty of killing his estranged wife Ana Abulaban and her male companion Rayburn Barron in 2021. Ali Abulaban, known as Jinnkid, confessed to killing both Ali and Barron during the trial. The judge will sentence him on June 28, with the potential punishment of life in jail.

The jury found Ali guilty on two charges of first-degree murder with the use of a firearm and a special circumstances accusation for the additional killings. Prosecutors alleged that Ali and Ana were experiencing marital problems and that he believed Ana was unfaithful to him. He broke into their apartment, downloaded an app on his daughter's iPad, and concealed it in the bedroom to listen in on them from a distance. After hearing live audio of their conversation, Ali broke into their building, took the elevator to the 35th floor, and fired.

Ana Abulaban was shot three times in the head and neck, with soot on his cheek. The bullet struck Ana in the center of her forehead. Prosecutors alleged that Ana Abulaban had been the victim of her husband's physical abuse and possessive, controlling conduct for years, leading to her death.

Ana Abulaban's companion stated in court that she had intended to request a restraining order later on October 21, but was unable to do so. The couple had a single child and spent seven years together.
