Kyle, Texas, declared that it would try again to break the Guinness World Record for the biggest gathering of the same name by holding an official "Gathering of the Kyles."
The city said that the official Gathering of the Kyles record attempt would take place at 1 p.m. on May 18 as part of the Kyle Fair. Last year, the event managed to draw 1,490 persons called Kyle.
In July 2017, 2,325 persons with the first name Ivan attended an official effort to break the record for the greatest assembly of people with the same name (first name only) in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
In February, the "Ryan Rodeo" sought to break the record by assembling individuals with the last name Ryan in the City of Austin, Texas. That effort was not successful in winning the championship.
