Former President Donald Trump has been convicted of 34 felonies related to a "hush money" payment he made to adult film star Stormy Daniels before the 2016 election. Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg stated that the jury's verdict was unanimous, and that they followed the law and facts fearlessly and impartially. Trump spoke to the media outside the Manhattan courtroom, calling the trial a shameful, manipulated trial and that the people will render their true judgment on November 5th.

For weeks, both liberal and conservative legal experts insisted that there was no evidence of any criminal activity by Trump and that Bragg had made up the 34 counts, many of which had run their course due to New York statutes of limitations. Bragg claimed that Trump had broken federal election law by trying to conceal the payment to Daniels in order to keep his 2016 campaign afloat. However, in 2018, the Federal Election Commission declared that they had not discovered any such infractions.

Trump campaign spokesperson Karoline Leavitt told Fox News Digital that "Crooked Joe Biden and the Democrats confined President Trump to a courtroom for more than eight hours a day for more than six weeks, and he is still winning." She also claimed that Trump raised more money in April than both the Democrats and the corrupt Joe Biden, hosted massive rallies and impromptu campaign stops in New York and beyond, and generated billions of dollars in earned media coverage throughout the trial.

Trump went to a bodega in Harlem during the trial, where a throng of admirers yelled Trump's name and showed incredible support. He stated that he intends to enter the trial and restore the police's power, and that he loves New York and other places as well.
