Charlie Kirk Warns: Republican Party's Future in Jeopardy Due to Trump's 2020 Election Obsession

Charlie Kirk, the founder of Turning Point USA, issued a warning on Monday, stating that the Republican Party will not do “any good” in 2024 from former President Donald Trump’s fixation on the 2020 election results.

Former Fox News personality Bill O'Reilly said, "I think that Trump's obsession with 2020 still continues to hurt him in this election," in an interview with Kirk on his program No Spin News. Am I mistaken?

"First, let me say that there is a time and place for everything," Kirk said. "I think it was beneficial to discuss how we could have secured the election and what we could have done better in 2020 when it was truly a, let us say, recent wound."

But he went on, "I will say this, talking about 2020 does not do us any good in this season we are in right now, so I am in full agreement." For instance, I believe that Jake Tapper may pose a trap question to Donald Trump during this debate: "Do you accept the results of the 2020 election?"

"I think how he navigates that question is important," Kirk said in closing.

Trump is now defending against two indictments—one state and one federal—pertaining to his efforts to void the 2020 election's outcome.

"Who won the last election?" would be the most crucial question to pose to Trump at the first presidential debate, ABC's George Stephanopoulos said CNN earlier this month.

While everything was going on, CNN anchor Chris Wallace said that there was "zero chance" that Trump would not bring up the 2020 election results at the first presidential debate.
