On Monday, the personal information of Michael Cohen's wife and children was publicly exposed, just after former President Donald Trump was convicted in a Manhattan court on 34 charges of falsifying corporate documents.

According to Daniel J. Jones, president of Advance Democracy, the phone numbers and home locations of Cohen's family members were published on a website that is notorious for doxxing. This action was most certainly done with the intention of causing harm to Cohen.

According to Jones, the individual who leaked the information referred to Cohen as a "deceitful individual" and accused him of "betraying Trump" on the website. Cohen provided testimony against Trump in his trial on the payment of hush money in Manhattan.

Cohen addressed the act of doxxing with public statements.

"It is disheartening to witness the current era where individuals resort to such foolish acts of doxxing as a means to address their grievances," he stated in a public message.

During an episode of MSNBC's The ReidOut, he also stated, "As a result of my testimony, we have been inundated with unsolicited phone calls, emails, and text messages." The supporters of the Make America Great Again (MAGA) movement are dissatisfied with the outcome.

Cohen's evidence during Trump's trial in Manhattan was crucial to the prosecution, as he said that he had provided $130,000 in "hush money" to porn star Stormy Daniels in relation to an alleged affair with the former president. Cohen said that he received reimbursement for this payment, which was falsely recorded as legitimate expenditures.

Although Trump was convicted, he denounced the trial as "rigged" and continues to assert his innocence. The date for his sentence has been scheduled for July 11, however, he has expressed his intention to appeal the case to the Supreme Court if necessary.
