DNC Amplifies Trump's Alleged 'Horrible City' Comment with 10 Milwaukee Billboards

Former President Donald Trump is set to hold a rally in Wisconsin to reclaim support from the state, following a controversial speech where he casually dubbed Milwaukee as "horrible" in a speech to House Republicans. The controversy elevated Wisconsin to a competitive state, with the Democratic National Convention (DNC) erected ten billboards across Milwaukee, highlighting the city's crime statistics and economic inflation during the Biden administration.

Democrats took pleasure in the "horrible" comment, as Wisconsin sent President Biden to the White House in 2020 and gave Trump a one-way ticket back to his exile at Mar-a-Lago. The DNC spokesperson added that they will do it again in November.

Wisconsin faces grave consequences if the discussion around Trump's remark turns into schoolyard jeers. The winner of November's election between Trump and Biden will get ten electoral votes from this upper Midwest state. Trump won the 2016 election in Wisconsin by a margin of less than 1 percentage point, but Democrats said she mishandled the ball in a crucial state.

According to recent polls, there is a stalemate between Trump and Biden in Wisconsin this year, with Trump up by 0.7% according to the FiveThirtyEight polling average. Trump's Milwaukee incident was classic, as he often attacks Democratic leaders in big cities in areas vital to his political support while praising such states.

A rally in Racine, approximately thirty miles south, will be held before Trump's convention in Milwaukee, focusing on Milwaukee's and the state's crime statistics and economic inflation during the Biden administration. His campaign sent a media alert stating, "President Donald Trump loves the people of Wisconsin."
