Hunter Biden Opts Out of Testifying in Federal Handgun Trial: Trial Details Unfold

Hunter Biden has decided not to testify in his federal handgun trial, as his defense concluded on Monday. The defense counsel presented three witnesses, including Hunter's oldest daughter, before resting their case.

They also stated that they would not challenge the testimony of a forensic chemist regarding the presence of cocaine residue on the pouch where the revolver was disposed of. Prosecutors called an FBI agent for a rebuttal and are now questioning Hunter's text messages from October 2018. Hunter Biden was accompanied by his stepmother, Jill Biden, who has been present throughout most of the trial.

Jill Biden has been a constant presence at her stepson's trial, except for one day when she traveled to France with President Biden for D-Day commemorations. Hunter Biden's trial has been closely watched, and his decision not to testify comes after the defense presented their case with three witnesses, including his daughter.

The defense also chose not to challenge the testimony of a forensic chemist regarding the presence of cocaine residue on the revolver's pouch. Prosecutors called an FBI agent for a rebuttal and are now focusing on Hunter
