Two days before their planned departure, a family from Kentucky had their ideal $15,000 Carnival Cruise holiday unexpectedly canceled owing to an identity fraud issue.

Tiffany Banks revealed in a series of TikTok videos that she and her family had been planning the vacation for more than a year and had already paid for it in full. However, after getting an email regarding the cancellations of their off-ship activities, she was taken aback to learn that the vacation had been canceled. When Banks called customer care, she was informed that the $12,000 reservation for the Excel Presidential Suite had been canceled using an online system without her consent.

Banks told her supporters that Carnival's two indoor rooms were insufficient, despite the company's offer. Furthermore, because the cancellation was made 15 days before to departure, Carnival's cancellation policy precluded any return. In an attempt to settle the matter at the pier, Banks and her family made the decision to go to Miami, but they were unable to board the ship. Banks originally believed it was a technology glitch, but Carnival informed her that someone had canceled the reservation and changed their booking number—which had been unintentionally posted on Facebook—to a new online account. This was reported by the New York Post.

Carnival gave Banks a $10,404 cruise credit, contingent on her publicly declaring the problem remedied. It was suspected that the impostor was from British Columbia. Banks turned down the offer and declared that she would never book with Carnival again despite her best efforts to make the vacation right. In addition, TikTok users shared their thoughts on the matter; some claimed Banks should have taken responsibility for publishing the booking number on her Facebook page. Some, on the other hand, were understanding of the circumstances.

"I hope that this helps people learn." I follow someone on Instagram who shared the information about their cancelled overseas flight. Businesses must verify further before canceling! Someone wrote. "I have been on 25 cruises with Carnival," another person stated.Platinum standing...and I concur that Carnival should modify their online system such that canceling or editing an online reservation takes more information than just the name and confirmation number.
