Queens Terror Suspect Nabbed with Arsenal in SUV - Loaded Gun, Homemade Sword, and More!

A suspected Queens terrorist, Judd Sanson, was arrested without the possibility of release after police found a loaded Glock 9mm handgun in his SUV. Sanson, a Jamaican citizen, had a knife fastened to his leg and an MTA reflector vest, a homemade sword, and an axe hanging from the ceiling inside the car. The black Ford Explorer contained 179 rounds of ammo, about a dozen firearms, and an NYPD bulletproof vest.

Sanson's Queens Defenders attorney, Thomas Montella, characterized him as a self-employed mechanic who provides for his daughter. However, the judge mandated Sanson's detention at Rikers Island without the possibility of release until Monday when he returns to court. Queens District Attorney Melinda Katz expressed concern about the airport being only a few blocks away from the subject, stating that "you have to question the intent."

Sanson was taken into custody and interrogated in the 110th Precinct stationhouse on Wednesday. He was taken out in handcuffs on Thursday and was asked about whether he had bought his armament on Amazon. Witnesses saw police coming and going from the Jamaica Avenue building as they carried out a search warrant at his father's apartment, where they discovered a Glock carrying case inside. This car stop averted what could have been a disaster for the citizens of Queens, New York City, and potentially even the country.
