Tragic Discovery in Houston: 12-Year-Old Girl Found Dead, Two Men Charged with Capital Murder

A 12-year-old girl's death in Houston, Texas, has led to the arrest of two males, 21-year-old Johan Jose Rangel Martinez and 26-year-old Franklin Jose Pena Ramos. Jocelyn Nungaray, a 12-year-old girl, slipped out of her family's house and never returned. Surveillance video of her death was released, and the medical examiner confirmed that strangling was the cause of death. Investigators are awaiting test findings to narrow down the possibility of a sexual assault.

The police have confirmed that CCTV video shows the two men meeting Jocelyn and accompanying her to a convenience shop. The party allegedly made their way to a bridge where Jocelyn met her end. Despite being roommates, it is unclear whether Jocelyn knew any of them.

Houston police are seeking to speak with the two men and have disclosed that Jocelyn had called her thirteen-year-old lover just before her death. Mayor John Whitmire stated that Jocelyn's mother last saw her at around 10 pm on Sunday night when she was putting the kids to bed. Surveillance video shows the preteen and two men entering a 7-Eleven on Sunday.

Jocelyn's mother, Alexis Nungaray, expressed her grief and confusion by her daughter's departure, stating that she had always warned her to never leave the house unattended. She hopes that the two suspects are located, as Jocelyn was a fierce warrior and deserves to rest in peace.
