According to the authorities, an Instagram model who had previously worked as a police officer in New York and her suspected boyfriend were taken into custody in connection with an extortion conspiracy devised against a small company.
In accordance with the Orange County District Attorney's Office, Ally Thueson, who is 33 years old, has been accused of threatening to make false accusations against the cosmetology company unless the owner agreed to pay her off.
Information obtained from News12 indicates that she was brought into jail with Elizabeth Sloanhoffer, who was 33 years old and was supposedly working with Thueson.
According to the business owner, the ladies requested a payment of nine thousand dollars from the company, which the owner reportedly paid in order to prevent any potential issues.
Based on the allegations made by the Orange County Sheriff's Office, the two individuals allegedly threatened to disseminate false information, to submit fictitious business violations to the New York State Board of Cosmetology, and to file complaints with the United States Department of Labor charging the company of committing falsified employee infractions.
The Orange County White Collar Crime task force filed charges against the ladies, accusing them of grand theft and coercion. They were both freed on the basis of an appearance ticket.
According to the prosecution, Thueson served as a deputy for the Orange County Sheriff's Department and, more recently, as a police officer in the municipality of Woddbury. Additionally, she was placed in handcuffs before she was arrested.
In the year 2021, she took her retirement from the Woodbury Police Department. The next year, in 2022, Thueson entered a contest to become a covergirl for Maxim Magazine. She was a nominee for the contest."
District Attorney David M. Hoovler issued a statement in which he said, "Small business owners deserve to operate free of coercive threats of reputational harm." "These alleged criminal acts are the exact types of crimes that frequently go unreported and are uncovered by the hard work of the Task Force," which is a multi-agency operation that was established in March 2023 to increase the investigation and prosecution of public corruption and financial crimes.
