Grand jury transcripts, which include specific information regarding the deeds of infamous paedophile Jeffrey Epstein, must be made public due to a court order.

The recently made public document, spanning over 200 pages, contains data on how minor victims were satisfied in addition to first-hand testimonies from survivors.

Notwithstanding a warning that some of the content in the court records "will be outrageous to decent people," Florida Circuit Judge Luis Delgado approved the disclosure of the court documents from the 2008 lawsuit.

Transcripts of grand juries are not usually available to the public. Nonetheless, a new Florida statute that gives Judge Delgado the power to compel their publication has made the transcripts of the grand jury from 2006 available to the general public.

Judge Delgado said, "The testimony taken by the Grand Jury concerns activity ranging from grossly unacceptable to rape — all of the conduct at issue is sexually deviant, disgusting, and criminal."

The judge then referred to Epstein as "the most notorious pedophile in American history."

Epstein's global ties with many influential people had a major role in the public's intense interest in his trial.

The British Prince Andrew, many celebrities, and former US Presidents Bill Clinton and Donald Trump were among them.

Epstein was able to reach a settlement and avoid accusations of rape and sex trafficking in 2008. He pleaded admission to a lesser offense and was sentenced to 13 months in prison.

When Judge Delgado made the evidence public, he recognized the public's indignation about the commonly believed belief that Epstein had gotten "special treatment".

Regarding the case, the court said, "It has been the subject of much anger and has at times diminished the public's perception of the criminal justice system."

"It is widely reported that Epstein flaunted his wealth while mingling with politicians, billionaires, and even British Royalty," he said. "Epstein is indeed notorious and infamous."

"It is understandable that given those reports the public has a great curiosity about what was widely reported by news [agencies] as 'special treatment' regarding his prosecution."

2008 saw Epstein's conviction for luring a young person into prostitution.

In 2018, he gained further public attention after a Miami Herald investigation that included interviews with many survivors, some of whom were pursuing legal claims.

The increasing attention Epstein's case was receiving led to more criminal allegations against him.

Ghislaine Maxwell, Epstein's accomplice, is now serving a 20-year jail term.

Epstein committed himself in 2019 as he was awaiting trial for federal sex trafficking accusations.
