His Secret Service detail had to take immediate action against Ryan Routh who allegedly aimed to kill the former president and is the Republican nominee for president in 2024. Positioned outside Trump International Golf Club's perimeter with malicious intent,
Routh was apprehended before any harm could occur to Trump or bystanders. Reportedly left at the scene were two backpacks belonging to Routh along with a camera and an AK-47 rifle outfitted with a scope.
