An influential former House Speaker is pursuing a group of House Republicans who are impeding the election of the next one. Showing up on Fox & Friends On Monday, Newt Gingrich attacked the Republican members of Congress who are standing in the way of Rep. Kevin McCarthy’s (R-CA) campaign for speaker.

Gingrich remarked that the conflict was between a small group of individuals and the conference as a whole. And they claim that they have the right to ruin everything. According to the precedent set by this, Florida’s representatives and the moderates both agree. I mean, any five individuals could stand up and declare, “I’m going to f—- up the conference, too.” Chaos or Kevin Mccarthy is the option.

“I don’t understand where they’re coming from,” he continued, “and I believe it is a really stupid and, to be honest, selfish viewpoint.”

Following Rep. Bob Good (R-VA), one of the five House Republicans who have declared they will never vote for McCarthy, Gingrich appeared on the program. Good referred to McCarthy as a member of the “swamp cartel” and reiterated his opposition to him. Reps. Andy Biggs, Matt Gaetz, Matt Rosendale, Ralph Norman, and Never-Kevin are the other Never-Kevins (R-AZ).

According to Gingrich, “I believed the House would at least be a symbol of stability.” And these five men decide to launch a kamikaze pluralist assault on the Republican Party to see if they can’t bring it down. What they are doing is that. Kevin McCarthy is not the subject. The issue is whether any five participants have the authority to declare that the rest of the conference is irrelevant and toss it aside.

Why did they act in such way? Griff Jenkins of Fox News posed the question. “Newt, that is really absurd!”

Gingrich declared, “I believe it to be a psychological issue. “These people can’t add up correctly. They are unable to play tic tac toe. Their inability to accept triumph

McCarthy’s campaign to become Speaker appears to be facing increasing opposition, which presents a challenge for Gingrich and other allies of McCarthy. Nine House members, in addition to the five McCarthy opponents already in place, drafted a letter late Sunday night (via Politico) stating that McCarthy would need to make additional compromises to win their support.
