On Tuesday’s episode of his streaming show, MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell cast doubt on Florida Governor Ron DeSantis’ (R) reelection victory in Miami-Dade County, stating, “I don’t believe it.”

Lindell is an ardent fan of Trump’s and has previously raised unfounded allegations of electoral fraud. There is a strong possibility that DeSantis may be Trump’s most formidable primary opponent in the 2024 Republican presidential election. Trump is running for president already. However, DeSantis has not yet said whether or not he will seek the presidency.

During an appearance on “The Lindell Report,” Lindell questioned DeSantis’s lopsided win in Miami-Dade County. While historically voting Democrat, the county voted 11 points for DeSantis in the Florida governor’s race.

There has been no proof of fraud to surface, and prior to the election, many commentators referred to the county as evidence that DeSantis may win by a wide margin. Lindell, though, attacked DeSantis because of Miami-Dade County.

We’re targeting Miami-Dade County and the 2022 election, Lindell added. Everyone, I’m looking for outliers. That’s not the norm. Lindell initially responded with skepticism, then stated, “I’m going to find out if [Miami-]Dade County – what occurred there, because it’s a divergence from norm.”

Dominion Voting Systems is filing a defamation lawsuit against the CEO of MyPillow for comments he made concerning the upcoming 2020 election and the company’s voting devices. While no significant fraud was discovered and various audits in other states have validated the original results in those states, Lindell has made dubious assertions regarding the 2020 election, much like Trump.

DeSantis, whose midterm victory in November was largely lauded by Republicans, is now leading Trump in many surveys.

Republican candidates and party members have typically directed election denialism charges at Democrats, making the CEO of MyPillow’s statements toward another Republican particularly odd.
