Even though 2024 may seem long away, President Donald Trump is methodically eliminating possible rivals one by one. President Trump is still the top option for the Republican Party’s presidential candidacy in 2024, according to a new poll from the Economist/YouGov among Republican and Independent/Republican-leaning respondents.

According to their findings, 44% of respondents wanted Trump to be the nominee, while 32% wanted Florida Governor Ron DeSantis (R).

The findings of this poll are consistent with those of the most recent Morning Consult survey, which discovered that 48 percent of Republican voters chose Trump as the nominee to DeSantis, who received 31% of the vote.
