The “lack of transparency” displayed by the Biden administration on the three batches of secret documents discovered in President Joe Biden’s possession was criticized by Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH). Three batches of top-secret documents, all from Biden’s time as vice president in the Obama-Biden Administration, have been discovered since November at the Penn-Biden Center and the president’s Wilmington, Delaware, residence.

The American public did not learn about these discoveries, which were made in early November and early December of last year, until January, according to Jordan, who said as much in a Sunday interview with Fox News’ Maria Bartiromo. This was only after a news story about the scandal broke. They may claim to be transparent about it, but Jordan claimed it was far from the truth.

After the House agreed to establish a subcommittee inside the House Judiciary Committee to look into the “weaponization” of the Justice Department, it was discovered that Biden was harboring confidential materials.

The committee’s chairman, Jordan, stated that the “double standard” within the department must be eliminated.

“They bury the Hunter Biden story for 2020. In the year 2022, they conduct a raid on [Trump’s] residence 91 days before an election, but they fail to inform us of Joe Biden’s classified document scandal, which they were aware of before the [2022 midterm] election “Jordan declared.

The Ohio representative’s viewpoint was shared by a number of Republicans, including Speaker Kevin McCarthy, who called the handling of the two incidents “hypocrisy.” Prior to the midterm elections, the FBI conducted a very public house raid on former president Donald Trump, who had over 300 documents stolen from his Mar-a-Lago property.

Jordan said that “exposing it” is the first step in putting an end to this behavior. He discussed the disparity between the reactions to the acts of pro-life and pro-choice activists, as well as the treatment of rioters at the Capitol riot on January 6, 2021, and the Blake Lives Matter riots and protests in the summer of 2020.

These are the issues that this select committee will look into to ensure that the American people are informed of the facts, according to Jordan.

Democrats have also commented on the revelation that Biden had secret records. In an interview with NBC News’ “Meet the Press” on Sunday, Sen. Debbie Stabenow (D-MI) described the situation as “embarrassing.”

It’s quite awkward, she remarked. “It’s shameful that you would locate so few records, especially considering that you didn’t do it on purpose. They disagree that that is the proper action.” However, she asserted that purpose should determine how the case is handled.

Stabenow told presenter Chuck Todd, “I heard you say that someone described it as two automobile accidents: One was an accident and the other was on purpose. “How it’s being handled is very important in this.”

She cited the Biden administration’s claim that it is “cooperating fully” with federal agents and the special counsel Robert Hur, who was appointed by the DOJ. The Michigan senator said, “They take it very, very seriously, and they’re talking to all of the right individuals. They won’t resist subpoenas or demand FBI raids to obtain the records, they said.

The president is doing correctly, but it’s fundamentally different right now because both situations involve important sensitive documents, according to Stabenow.
