Itasca ISD Superintendent Michael Stevens arrested, charged with online solicitation of a minor

On June 2, Stevens appeared in court for the first time. While requesting a $10,000 bail, his attorney received a $100,000 bond. Along with being subject to random drug tests, having travel restrictions, and forbidding contact with anybody under the age of 17, he must also comply with several other requirements. Itasca ISD said on social media that a detective with the Harris County Sheriff's Department had called them and informed them that Stevens had been arrested. Rosen advised parents to prioritize keeping tabs on their kids' internet activities. This sting operation has shown that there are dangerous predators who are grooming our youngsters and who can do them significant harm. The board of trustees will meet to discuss the situation and decide on the best course of action, according to Itasca ISD.
