Parents charged with starving 10-year-old son to point he weighed 36 pounds appear in court

A shocking child abuse case that shook the City of Griffin last month has taken a new turn. A Tennessee man, along with his mom and stepfather, have been charged in connection with the incident. On the day in question, a resident spotted a small child walking barefoot down Wesminister Circle in the outskirts of the city. The police were called, and upon investigation, they discovered that the child was famished and heading to a store to find food. The cops immediately intervened and escorted the child to safety. The child was quickly transported to a local hospital for stabilization before being moved to a second facility for further treatment.
