On Wednesday, the House rejected the notion of censuring and condemning Rep. Adam Schiff (D-Calif.). He had been accused of asserting that former President Donald Trump had colluded with Russia to win the 2016 election.
In a 225-196 vote, lawmakers chose to dismiss the censure resolution against Schiff, effectively preventing its passage. Rep. Anna Paulina Luna, R-Fla. introduced the resolution, but 20 Republicans opposed it and two other GOP lawmakers and five Democrats abstained.
