Sen. McConnell on Fox News Depiction of January 6th; Sides With Capitol Police

Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) joined his fellow Republican lawmakers in denouncing Tucker Carlson for his latest attempt to downplay the Capitol storming. On Tuesday, McConnell sent reporters U.S. Capitol Police Chief Thomas Manger's memo to his colleagues in response to Carlson's current episode. He showed reporters the email and said, “with reference to the presentation on Fox News last night, I want to align myself totally with the opinion of the chief of the Capitol Police about what happened on January 6th.”
